The Manager, Maintenance & Operations is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance, safety, and sustainability of the assets under management. The role oversees technical operations, maintenance strategies, contractor performance, and operational excellence initiatives, ensuring high standards of asset reliability, customer experience, compliance, and cost efficiency This position plays a key role in driving operational performance, implementing continuous improvement initiatives, and supporting the organization's sustainability and ESG objectives. Key Responsibilities Operations & Maintenance Manager • Develop and implement preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs, • Ensure the reliability, availability, and optimal performance of all building systems and critical infrastructure, • Monitor maintenance activities and ensure compliance with established service levels and operational standards, • Coordinate technical interventions, refurbishment projects, and capital improvement initiatives, • Optimize maintenance processes and operational procedures to maximize asset performance . Team Leadership • Lead, coach, and develop a multidisciplinary technical teams, • Establish performance objectives and promote a culture of accountability, safety, and operational excellence, • Foster collaboration across departments and support talent development initiatives, • Ensure appropriate workforce planning and resource allocation Budget & Financial Management • Prepare and manage annual operating and maintenance budgets, • Monitor operational expenditures and identify cost optimisation opportunities, • Evaluate investment proposals and support business cases through cost-benefit analysis, • Ensure effective procurement and contract management practices Contractor & Supplier Management • Manage relationships with external service providers, contractors, and suppliers, • Negotiate and monitor contracts, ensuring compliance with agreed service levels and KPIs, • Conduct performance reviews and drive continuous improvement initiatives with vendors Sustainability & Energy Management • Identify and implement energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives, • Monitor energy consumption and environmental performance indicators, • Support the achievement of ESG objectives and sustainability certifications, • Promote best practices in environmental management and resource optimization Health, Safety & Compliance • Ensure compliance with all applicable health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements, • Lead risk assessments and implement mitigation measures, • Coordinate audits, inspections, and corrective action plans, • .Promote a strong safety culture throughout the organisation Qualifications • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Civil Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field, • .Additional qualifications in Operations Management, Project Management, or Facilities Management are considered an advantage, • Experience Minimum of 15years of experience in maintenance and operations management, • Proven experience leading technical teams and managing external service providers., • Experience within commercial real estate, shopping centers, facilities management, hospitality, industrial, or mixed-use assets, • Demonstrated success in implementing operational excellence, sustainability, and continuous improvement initiatives Does this sound good to you?
