Founded in 2012 as a spin-off from UPC and IBEC, our mission is to make robot-assisted surgery more accessible, precise, and efficient worldwide. We design and develop next-generation surgical robotic systems and instruments that directly impact the future of minimally invasive surgery. 🔧 Your mission As an R&D Technician, you will be a key hands-on member of our surgical R&D team, responsible for the assembly, testing and support of robotic surgical prototypes. You will work closely with engineers to bring designs to life, build test setups and ensure prototype readiness for validation and development activities. 🛠️ Your main responsibilities • Carry out mechanical and electromechanical assembly of our prototypes, • Follow R&D engineering guidelines for assembly activities and reporting, • Keep updated identification, inspection and test status of prototypes used in robotic surgery development, • Record and document assembly data, test evidence and technical results, • Design and build small tools or test benches for prototype testing in coordination with Mechanical and Electronic Engineers, • Support the R&D team in troubleshooting and resolving issues in products coming from manufacturing, • Support preparation of project deliverable documentation, • Maintain order, cleanliness and organization in the R&D workspace, • Ensure compliance with Quality Management System requirements in a regulated medical device environment 🎓 What are we looking for? • Technician in Electromechanics, Mechatronics or similar (CFGM / CFGS preferred), • +2 years of experience in mechanical and/or electromechanical assembly (minimum), • Experience in the surgical robotics sector, • Experience in mechanical/electronic assembly, • Basic understanding of technical drawings, manuals and assembly instructions, • SolidWorks knowledge is a plus (not required) 💡 We are looking for someone who is… • Hands-on and passionate about building things with precision, • Detail-oriented and methodical in assembly and documentation, • Proactive and willing to support engineering teams in fast-paced R&D projects, • Able to follow technical instructions and work with high-quality standards 🧠 Skills required • Strong teamwork mindset, • Attention to detail and precision work, • Ability to follow assembly procedures accurately, • Ability to interpret technical manuals and drawings, • Proactive attitude and willingness to learn 🚀 What do we offer? • Full-time permanent contract, • Competitive salary aligned with experience, • Flexible working hours, • High-impact work in a regulated medical device environment, • Collaborative engineering team building the future of surgical robotics
