About the role The Product Owner will drive the vision, strategy, and delivery of a Credit Origination (Credit Access) application and ensure its seamless integration with an existing Loan Management System (LMS). This role ensures that business needs, regulatory requirements, and technical feasibility come together to deliver a high-value digital lending solution across multiple countries. Location: Madrid, Spain. Permanent role, Hybrid setting. Main Responsibilities Product Leadership • Own the product vision and roadmap for the Credit Origination platform, ensuring alignment with business goals, regulations, and integration with the LMS., • Develop and prioritize product strategy, translating market and regulatory needs into initiatives that deliver value and ensure a seamless onboarding-to-servicing experience. Functional Definition • Create and refine epics, features, and user stories, defining the end-to-end credit origination flow and ensuring clarity, feasibility, and regulatory compliance (KYC/AML, identity verification, creditworthiness, disclosures, consent)., • Specify functional requirements and validate designs to ensure seamless data and process integration between the Credit Origination system and the LMS. Stakeholder & Cross-Team Collaboration • Serve as the primary liaison across business, compliance, risk, engineering, UX/UI, architecture, and external partners, facilitating workshops, requirement sessions, and alignment meetings across multiple units and countries., • Manage dependencies and communicate product decisions clearly, ensuring knowledge transfer to technical teams and coordination with LMS owners, core banking teams, and external vendors. Execution & Delivery • Lead agile ceremonies and guide development teams throughout delivery, providing clarification during sprints and validating features against acceptance criteria and business outcomes., • Monitor KPIs and optimize processes, ensuring timely, high-quality releases and seamless integration between Credit Origination and LMS environments based on performance data and feedback. Integration Management • Define and manage the integration model between the Credit Origination platform and LMS, ensuring data consistency, process continuity, and compatibility while coordinating with third-party systems., • Collaborate with architects to design APIs, data structures, and workflows, monitor integration performance, and drive improvements to support the full loan lifecycle. Experience & skills • 3–5+ years as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or similar role in digital lending, fintech, or financial services., • Proven experience working on integration projects (APIs, microservices, middleware, third-party services)., • Experience in agile environments with distributed, multinational teams., • Hands-on experience with credit origination flows, scoring models, onboarding processes, and loan lifecycle management is nice to have., • Strong understanding of REST APIs, microservices, integration patterns, and event-driven architecture., • Knowledge of digital onboarding frameworks (KYC, AML, identity verification)., • Familiarity with cloud-based environments, application security, and compliance requirements., • Proficiency with Agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, and design tools like Figma., • Advanced English skills.
