We’re hiring: Adjunct Professors | IE School of Science and Technology Location: Madrid and Segovia (in person) Programs: Bachelor in Computer Science & AI, Bachelor in Data and Business Analytics, and Dual Degrees The School of Science and Technology at IE University is expanding its adjunct faculty across our undergraduate programs. We are looking for experienced practitioners and academics who want to bring real-world expertise into the classroom and teach highly motivated students from more than 130 nationalities. If you combine technical depth with a passion for teaching, we’d love to hear from you. The role Adjunct professors at IE join an international, research-active community and deliver one or more undergraduate courses. You will work alongside program directors, faculty coordinators, and a strong network of academic and industry colleagues, with full pedagogical and administrative support. We are recruiting across several complementary areas. Candidates do not need to cover all of them, strong expertise in one or two is enough. Skills and expertise we are looking for: • Solid command of Java or C++ along with object-oriented programming, data structures, algorithms, and sound software engineering practice, • Strong foundations in calculus, linear algebra, and discrete mathematics, with the ability to connect mathematical concepts to real algorithmic and data problems, • Probability theory, inferential statistics, and statistical modelling, supported by practical data analysis skills in R, Python (pandas, scikit-learn, statsmodels) or equivalent tools, • Applied experience in time series analysis and forecasting, including classical methods and modern machine learning approaches, • Background in machine learning, with hands-on experience designing, evaluating, and deploying real-world models, • Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP), including containers, serverless architectures, scalability, and cloud security, • Proven ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, engaging teaching for undergraduate audiences Who we are looking for: • PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or a closely related field. Master-level candidates with substantial industry experience will also be considered., • Proven ability to teach at the undergraduate level, with a clear, engaging, and student-centered approach., • Strong research, industry, or applied background in the subject area., • Fluent English (our undergraduate teaching is fully in English). Spanish is a plus but not required., • Availability to teach on campus in Madrid or Segovia.
