We are seeking for a highly motivated Cell Biology Researcher / Bioprocess Specialist, to join our groundbreaking project in the field of alternative protein sources. We are a consolidated Spanish company, established 30 years ago, and we will rely on your Cell Biology expertise to efficiently contribute to the successful development of our cutting-edge R&D projects. • What you will do: You will contribute to innovative tissue engineering projects focused on advancing alternative protein production. We count on you to work effectively in a collaborative and highly multidisciplinary team environment through excellent interpersonal and communication abilities. Additionally, you should be able to work autonomously and possess strong technical troubleshooting skills. You will carry out, monitor and follow up research projects related with cell-based alternative protein sources production. This includes designing and conducting laboratory experiments, as well as data collection, analysis, interpretation and the presentation of results. You will be expected to contribute to grant writing and assist in the supervision of junior laboratory members. You will also be involved in technological surveillance, technology transfer and production scale-up processes. • Qualifications & Experience: BSc degree in Biology / Biochemistry / Veterinary / Biotechnology / Food technology or equivalent AND significant relevant experience from biotech, pharma, food industry or academic research institutes. A Master’s and/or PhD in a relevant scientific field will be considered a strong asset. • Essential for the role: -Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in mammalian cell culture. Experience with suspension cultures is a plus, and familiarity with primary cells is highly valued. -Proven expertise in mammalian cell culture and bioreactor operation (e.g.: Sartorius, Applikon), including process optimization, scale-up, and culture maintenance. -Strong practical experience in a wide range of cell biology techniques, including but not limited to immunofluorescence, RT-qPCR, flow cytometry and western blotting. -Solid problem-solving abilities, high attention to detail, accurate laboratory record-keeping, and critical thinking skills. -Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively present data (both orally and in writing) to multidisciplinary scientific teams. • Desirable Experience in the isolation and characterization of primary cultures, cell line immortalization, tissue engineering, and/or 3D cell culture systems. Knowledge and experience in cell support systems and biomaterials would be an advantage. • Location Zaragoza, Spain Occasional business travels and/or congress attendance may be expected. • What we offer Competitive salary commensurate with experience and an indefinite contract.
