ph3SUMMARY /h3 pInspector I performs basic inspection work in petroleum, petrochemical, gas, grain, oils and fats terminals and refineries, and also inspects on board barges and ships. Duties are performed following industry standards and the procedures published by API, Fosfa, Gafta, and Saybolt. /p h3DUTIES RESPONSIBILITIES /h3 pAssist other inspectors from the department and Account Managers. Ensure efficient operation at the location to meet client needs accurately and on time. Work at various sites, including offshore operations, as requested by the company. Manage the operation at the lowest possible costs while maintaining safety, quality, and asset maintenance. Follow all company procedures, including Saybolt manual, accounting policies, IT procedures, ethics policy, and compliance code. Keep updated on procedure changes and act accordingly. Report directly to Inspection Account Managers. /p h3QUALIFICATIONS /h3 ul liHigh school diploma or equivalent. /li liAt least 1 year of experience as an inspector or related field. /li liGood verbal and written knowledge of the local language and English. /li liProficient user of MS Office. /li liAbility to perform sampling and measurement tasks, including visual cleanliness inspections of tanks, confined space entry, and equipment verification. /li liStrong math skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, rate, ratio, percent calculations, and reading of applicable data tables. /li liExcellent communication, independence, and teamwork skills. /li liAbility to maintain and drive a vehicle in good operating condition, maintain automobile liability insurance, and hold a valid driver’s license. /li liPhysical capability to lift and move up to 25 kilograms and sufficient vision (close, distance, color, peripheral, depth). /li liWillingness to travel locally and occasionally out of town. /li liKnowledge of safety training requirements (Right-to-Know, hazardous material transportation, etc.) and ability to attend relevant exams. /li liAbility to work safely around hazardous materials as defined in material safety data sheets. /li liUnderstanding of laboratory procedures and cross‑training in laboratory settings. /li liCommitment to maintaining materials and installations in clean and good condition, including sample disposal and stock control. /li /ul h3PHYSICAL DEMANDS /h3 pThe employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 kilograms and frequently lift and/or move up to 25 kilograms. Vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. /p h3WORK ENVIRONMENT /h3 pWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles, frequently exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals, and works in a generally moderate noise environment.
