Territory Manager North Spain Location: Field-based across the Basque Country, Spain. The Surgical Robotics Sales Representative will be responsible for developing and growing the surgical robotics business across the Basque Country working with a best in class Surgical Robot (globally known). You will manage relationships with hospitals, surgeons, clinical teams, procurement stakeholders, and key opinion leaders, while supporting the full sales process from opportunity identification through to clinical adoption and ongoing account development. This is a field-based role requiring strong commercial discipline, clinical credibility, and the ability to build trust in a highly technical surgical environment. Key Responsibilities • Develop and execute a sales strategy for surgical robotics across the Basque Country., • Identify, target, and develop new hospital accounts, surgical departments, and clinical stakeholders., • Build strong relationships with surgeons, operating room teams, biomedical engineering, procurement, and hospital leadership., • Drive product awareness, clinical engagement, evaluations, and adoption of robotic surgical technologies., • Support surgeons and clinical teams during product demonstrations, training, evaluations, and early clinical use., • Manage the full sales cycle, including prospecting, stakeholder mapping, tender support, negotiations, and account growth., • Maintain accurate pipeline reporting, account plans, and market intelligence., • Attend congresses, workshops, clinical meetings, and industry events where required., • Act as a trusted partner to customers by understanding their clinical, operational, and economic needs. Ideal Background • Experience selling medical devices into hospitals, ideally within surgery, robotics, capital equipment, laparoscopy, orthopaedics, urology, general surgery, or operating room technologies., • Strong understanding of the hospital sales process in Spain, including clinical engagement, procurement, tenders, and stakeholder management., • Proven ability to build relationships with surgeons and senior hospital stakeholders., • Experience selling high-value, complex, or technical medical technology would be highly advantageous., • Comfortable working in the operating room environment., • Strong commercial drive with the ability to develop new business and manage existing accounts., • Based in or able to cover the Basque Country region., • Fluent Spanish is essential. Basque language skills would be advantageous. English would also be beneficial when working with international manufacturer partners.
