A Tour Guide is responsible for leading guests on exciting off-road adventures on dirt trails through the Mijas mountains, ensuring their safety while providing informative commentary about the local landscape, wildlife, and natural features, all while creating a thrilling and memorable experience for each participant. A Tour Guide also ensures that vehicles are washed after each tour and that the shop, bathroom and staging areas are always kept clean and tidy. Key Responsibilities: · Conduct pre-tour safety briefings and enforce safety guidelines throughout the tour · Monitor driving behaviour and intervene if necessary to maintain safety standards. · Perform pre-trip inspections of dune buggies to ensure mechanical functionality · Respond appropriately to any emergencies that may arise during a tour Tour Navigation and Commentary: · Navigate dune terrain with confidence and skill · Provide engaging and informative commentary about local history and geographical area · Adapt the tour itinerary based on customer interest and weather conditions Guest Interaction and Service: · Check in guests upon arrival · Greet guests warmly and build rapport with them throughout the tour · Answer questions and address concerns in a knowledgeable and friendly manner · Create a fun and exciting atmosphere for all passengers Operational Duties: · Load and unload guests from dune buggies · Assist with vehicle maintenance and cleaning after each tour · Clean bathrooms throughout the day and keep shop, waiting area, staging areas and garage bays clean and tidy – all areas are to always be in spotless condition · Adhere to all company policies and procedures regarding tour guides · Perform other tasks as needed and as directed by management Required Skills and Qualifications: · Excellent off-road driving abilities, comfortable manoeuvring in challenging conditions · Thorough understanding of the local geography, wildlife, and natural features of the area · Strong ability to communicate clearly and engagingly with guests, providing informative commentary · Passion for providing exceptional guest experiences and prioritizing customer satisfaction · Commitment to safety protocols and ability to make quick decisions in potentially dangerous situations Desired Qualifications: · Previous experience as a tour guide or in a similar outdoor adventure role · Valid driver’s license and clean driving record · First Aid or CPR certification · Mechanical aptitude for basic vehicle maintenance

Have driving licence ( own transport to work) - occasionally drive a van Most work is at private and corporate events all over the Costa del Sol mostly Marbella to Sotogrande areas ( operating from Mijas Costa warehouse) The work is: Before each job discuss job details with colleagues ( and business owner), load equipment via packing list at a private storage - deliver to and set up at venue ( mostly with another technician) occasionally manage live sound. After event ( usually next day or at the end of event) sound check, de-rig and return all to storage, - report to business owner Jobs require good people skills ( polite and friendly communication skills with colleagues and clients), dependability( successful candidates may be required to carry out solo work), flexibility, - regular physical work by handling/ loading & unloading equipment, sometimes long hours ( early mornings and / or late nights)
