A growing commodity trading house that is continuing to expand its trading and risk capabilities and is offering an opportunity for a Market Risk Analyst as part of this growth. This role offers a strong opportunity for a Europe-based risk professional to relocate to Gibraltar and step into a highly commercial, front-office-facing trading environment. Joining a lean and entrepreneurial business, you will work closely with Traders, Finance, and Senior Management, taking ownership of daily P&L analysis and market risk monitoring across physically traded commodity books. While experience in oil, fuel, or refined products is preferred, candidates from other physical commodities such as agri or metals will also be considered, provided they bring a strong understanding of trading P&L. Key Responsibilities • Daily P&L production, analysis, and commentary for trading desks, • Monitoring and reporting market risk exposure across price, curve, and spread risk, • Supporting traders with timely insight into performance and market movements, • Producing risk metrics, stress tests, and scenario analysis, • Working closely with Finance on valuation, reconciliation, and month-end close, • Enhancing risk reporting, controls, and governance as the business grows Background & Requirements • 2–8 years’ experience in Market Risk, Trading Control, Product Control, or a similar function, • Exposure to physical commodities trading; oil or fuel preferred, • Experience managing and explaining trading P&L is essential, • Candidates from agri, metals, or other physical commodities will be considered, • An accounting or finance background is a strong advantage, • Strong analytical skills with the ability to engage confidently with front office This role is full time in Gibraltar with a salary up to £60k (depending on experience) with a wider package including bonus, pension, healthcare, etc. If you're interested in this relocation opportunity with a growing trading firm please apply now!
