Position Overview The Financial Controller is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the company in Spain, ensuring compliance with local regulations, managing reporting processes, and supporting strategic decision-making. This role plays a key part in maintaining financial integrity and optimizing business performance. Key Responsibilities * • Financial Reporting & Control – Prepare and supervise monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements; ensure accuracy and compliance with Spanish GAAP (PGC) and, where applicable, IFRS; manage general ledger, reconciliations, and closing processes; monitor internal controls and implement improvements., • Compliance & Taxation – Ensure compliance with Spanish tax regulations (VAT, Corporate Tax, SII reporting, etc.); coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors; oversee statutory filings and regulatory requirements., • Budgeting & Forecasting – Lead annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes; perform variance analysis and provide actionable insights; support business units with financial planning., • Cash Flow & Treasury – Monitor cash flow, liquidity and working capital; manage relationships with banks and financial institutions; optimize treasury processes., • Business Partnering – Provide financial insights to senior management; support strategic decisions with data‑driven analysis; collaborate with operations, sales and HR teams. Requirements * • Education & Qualifications – Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field. Professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, or Spanish equivalent) is a plus., • Experience – 5–10+ years of experience in finance/accounting roles. Previous experience as Financial Controller or Senior Accountant. Experience in multinational environments is highly valued., • Technical Skills – Strong knowledge of Spanish accounting standards (PGC) and tax regulations. Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Navision, etc.). Advanced Excel skills., • Languages – Fluent in Spanish. Professional level of English (minimum C1).
