To support this mission, we’re seeking a Grants Project Manager to join our Project Management Office (PMO) and lead the coordination and management of public-funded projects and grant initiatives. What You’ll Do As a Grants Project Manager, you’ll take ownership of the leadership and day-to-day management of publicly funded R&D projects, ensuring excellence in planning, execution, and compliance across multidisciplinary teams and international consortiums. Your main responsibilities will include: • Lead and coordinate internal teams and external partners to achieve project goals and deliverables., • Monitor progress against milestones, ensuring compliance with funding body requirements., • Prepare and oversee high-quality deliverables such as interim, annual, and final reports., • Manage budgets and financial reports, ensuring alignment with funding guidelines., • Administer resource allocation and maintain accurate staff effort tracking., • Identify and mitigate risks, addressing challenges proactively to ensure project success., • Represent iPronics in meetings · Attend and actively participate in all project meetings, both virtual and in-person, with internal teams and external stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and alignment.. What We’re Looking For Education & Experience • Proven experience managing public-funded projects from agencies such as the European Union (Horizon Europe), EISMEA (Accelerator programs), and Spanish government programs (e.g., IPCEI, Misiones PERTE)., • Degree in Engineering, Physics, or a related field (advanced degree is a plus)., • Full professional proficiency in English (additional languages are a plus)., • Experience managing technical and financial reporting, ensuring compliance with funding rules and audits., • Proficiency with MS Office, MS Project, and preferably ERP or grant management platforms., • Availability to travel nationally and internationally as required. Core Competencies • Excellent organizational, planning, and leadership skills., • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities across multidisciplinary teams., • Reliable, proactive, and self-driven, with a high sense of ownership., • Ability to prioritize effectively and thrive in dynamic environments., • Demonstrated success in managing complex multi-partner projects with precision and accountability. Preferred • Background in photonics or photonics integration is a plus., • Experience preparing and submitting grant proposals for EU and national programs., • Familiarity with EU funding frameworks, financial audits, and technical compliance standards. What You’ll Do: As a Senior Operations Manager, you’ll be a key part of our leadership team, overseeing the full spectrum of operations — from supplier partnerships to process optimization and quality assurance. Your mission: ensure flawless execution as we scale our photonic systems from prototype to production. Your main responsibilities will include: • Operations Management: Oversee daily operations and long-term planning to ensure efficient production, supply chain, and logistics execution., • Supplier & Partner Management: Build and maintain strategic relationships with suppliers and manufacturing partners., • Process Development & Execution: Define, implement, and continuously improve operational processes to support yield, reliability, and scalability., • Quality & Reliability: Drive excellence through DfM, FMEA, SPC, and yield management methodologies, ensuring consistent quality and performance. Technical Expertise • Strong understanding of semiconductor/photonics manufacturing flows and hardware systems., • Proficiency in DfM, FMEA, RCA, SPC, MES, and yield management methodologies., • Solid track record managing manufacturing partners and ensuring operational excellence across continents. At iPronics, pioneers in software-defined photonics and creators of the world’s first programmable optical switch on silicon, we’re looking for a PIC Layout Engineer to join our Photonics Team and play a key role in the design and layout of our next-generation photonic integrated circuits (PICs). What You’ll Do As a PIC Layout Engineer, you’ll be part of a highly collaborative layout and design team, working at the intersection of photonics, electronics, and systems engineering. Your contributions will directly impact the scalability and performance of our programmable optical architectures. Your main responsibilities will include: • Designing and implementing layouts for photonic integrated circuits (PICs) used in large-scale optical circuit switches., • Generating and verifying GDS files, ensuring foundry and design rule compliance., • Performing Design Rule Checks (DRC) and participating in layout reviews., • Ensuring full compatibility between cross-sections, foundry PDKs, and custom-developed photonic components., • Developing main and test die GDS layouts, ensuring alignment with tapeout schedules and deadlines., • Translating system-level requirements into detailed PIC designs, supported by clear and concise documentation., • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure testability, manufacturability, and system integration excellence. What We’re Looking For Education & Experience • BSc/MSc/PhD in Telecommunication Engineering, Physics, or a related discipline with a strong emphasis on Integrated Photonics., • 2–3 years of industry experience (PhD graduates are highly encouraged to apply). Technical Skills • Proven experience with photonic design and optimization tools., • Strong Python programming skills for automating design and simulation workflows., • Solid understanding of GDS layout generation, PDK usage, and DRC verification flows., • Fluency in English (written and spoken).
