Why this role matters As the Kitchen Assistant, you’ll support daily kitchen operations and execute high-standard dishes in a fast-paced bistro environment. This role ensures consistency, hygiene, and efficient resource use, directly upholding the bistro’s reputation for quality and reliability. Your contributions will optimize workflows, enhance team collaboration, and help scale True Roots’ innovative food concepts for guests and international clients. Whats you'll do • Support daily kitchen operations, including cleaning, prep according to technical specifications, and packaging of finished products., • Prepare dishes in assigned sections (meat, fish, vegetables, side dishes) following fine dining standards., • Adhere to recipes and quality benchmarks, rotate tasks as needed, and assist junior staff., • Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards; comply with HACCP and other regulations., • Collaborate with kitchen and front-of-house teams to optimize workflow and service quality; manage stock, inventory, cost calculations, and supplier coordination. What we’re looking for (must-have) • Responsible, accurate, and proactive cook with experience in hospitality., • Strong teamwork, communication, and mentoring skills; capable of working under pressure., • Knowledge of HACCP or equivalent food safety standards; able to implement hygiene controls consistently., • Flexible to work in a seasonal, fast-paced environment with physical stamina for long shifts; EU passport or valid work permit for Spain required. Nice to have • Spanish language proficiency (required, but advanced level a plus)., • Russian language skills.
