About the job The Butler owns the guests’ in-suite experience, offering a seamless execution of premium service that is both exceptional and memorable. As part of the Guest Relations team, the Butler is the liaison between the guest and all Hotel and Marine Departments, proactively anticipating every guest’s needs and expectations. Under the guidance of the Director of Food & Beverage, the Director of Banquets is responsible for leading and managing the banquet team and operation. You’ll deliver high quality products and service levels while maintaining a profitable department. Establish, monitor, and manage budgeted revenue and net operating income. Develop and implement strategy for the department to achieve budgeted revenue and net operating income goals. Work closely with the Sales and Events teams to ensure guests expectations are met and exceeded. Establish and champion SLS specific Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) for the department. Oversee all aspects of training, orientation, and development for the department. Monitor quality of service and product. Ensure that labor and expense guidelines are adhered to maintain budgeted expenses. Supervise and provide leadership to the team. Organize and conduct department meetings. Promote guest satisfaction throughout the operation. Respond to guest complaints in a timely manner. Manage all phases of Loss Prevention within the department. Prepare and submit required reports in a timely manner. Distinguish SLS as the industry leaders that continually improve to maintain our cutting edge. Monitor industry trends, take appropriate action to maintain competitive and profitable. Work with Executive Committee members as needed and keep them informed of departmental issues as they arise. We are looking for someone who can be responsible for the day to day management of the club from top to bottom.
