From Hays, we are seeking an experienced and ambitious General Manager to lead the operations of a production site in Asturias. The role will oversee daily factory operations, manage production teams, and ensure the delivery of all safety, quality, cost, and service KPIs. Key Responsabilities • Oversee daily production operations, ensuring safety, quality, efficiency, and cost control., • Lead the commissioning and start-up of the new facility and its equipment., • Deliver production plans on time and within budget., • Recruit, train, and manage shift managers and production teams., • Establish shift structures, workflows, and operational standards., • Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and health & safety regulations, supporting certifications such as BRC / IFS., • Lead production planning and coordinate material needs with Procurement while managing suppliers., • Hold full P&L responsibility, managing labour and material budgets and supporting financial forecasting., • Collaborate with commercial teams on private-label projects and European customers. Requirements • Degree in Engineering, Food Technology, Industrial Management, or similar., • Solid experience in FMCG or beverage manufacturing (mandatory)., • Proven track record managing medium or large-scale production environments., • Fluent English (mandatory) to coordinate with international leadership., • Hands on mindset suitable for a new site launch.
