What are we looking for? We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our team in Madrid. The selected candidate will be responsible for the accounting of several group entities, ensuring compliance with tax and accounting regulations, and contributing to financial process efficiency and accuracy. Main responsibilities: 1. Full accounting management for group companies: posting customer and supplier invoices, bank reconciliations, provisions, amortizations, and intercompany billing. 2. Review and analysis of accounting balances, ensuring proper allocation of income and expenses. Application of analytical accounting by project. 3. Recording the construction progress of ongoing projects. 4. Preparation and submission of tax returns: VAT, personal income tax (IRPF), corporate income tax, Intrastat, SII, and other tax obligations. 5. Active participation in monthly, quarterly, and annual closings: preparation of closing entries and reconciliations. 6. Support in external and internal audits, gathering and preparing the required documentation. Requirements: 1. University degree in Business Administration, Economics, Accounting and Finance, or a higher vocational qualification in Administration and Finance. 2. Minimum of 5 years' experience in similar accounting roles. 3. Solid knowledge of the Spanish General Accounting Plan (PGC). 4. English level: B2–C1. 5. Proficiency in accounting software. Experience with Navision, Dynamics 365 Business Central, A3, Sage, etc., will be valued. 6. Knowledge of the renewable energy sector, particularly photovoltaics, will be a plus.
