Now we're looking for a Sourcing Manager Melons to join our team, managing the melon category end to end, ensuring seamless supply from origin through to delivery. Here's what you will do: Own the end-to-end management of the melon category, delivering reliable supply, strong service levels and cost-efficient performance across seasonal programmes. You will balance demand requirements with supply realities, working closely with growers, suppliers, sourcing, logistics, quality, finance and commercial teams. The role covers sourcing strategy, supplier selection, negotiations, contracting, demand planning, operational coordination and continuous improvement. You will manage seasonal transitions, supply risks and team performance while driving category service, quality, waste and cost outcomes. Some key responsibilities: • Own melon category performance across service levels, availability, waste, quality and cost efficiency., • Develop multi-origin sourcing strategies and seasonal supply plans aligned with availability and business needs., • Lead supplier and grower selection, onboarding, commercial negotiations, contracting and performance tracking., • Manage strong relationships with growers, exporters and service providers, ensuring quality consistency and timely corrective actions., • Oversee demand planning, supply-demand matching and operational coordination from harvest and packing through logistics and delivery., • Manage seasonal origin transitions, crop variability, transit times, cold chain integrity and logistics disruption risks., • Drive improvement initiatives in waste reduction, service, shelf life, packaging, logistics efficiency and cost-to-serve., • Lead, coach and develop the team, ensuring strong alignment across commercial, planning and operational activities. What you need to bring: • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Agriculture, Food Science or a related field; Master's or relevant certifications are advantageous., • 6-10 years' experience in fresh produce, ideally melons, cucumbers, squash or pumpkins., • Strong experience in multi-country sourcing and supplier management., • Proven track record in supply chain and category management., • Demonstrated team leadership and development experience., • Fluent English and Spanish are required., • Strong commercial, analytical, planning, negotiation, stakeholder management, risk management and quality/compliance skills.
