Shape the Future of Entrepreneurship with Candosa M&A Strategy Associate – Candosa Team: Strategy and Finance Location: Spain. Candosa is a fully remote company. The job may involve occasional travel. Languages: Fluent in Spanish and English (required) Application details: please submit your interest by sending us a copy of your CV to Our Mission At Candosa, we’re reinventing how Europeans start and run their businesses. Our mission is to make entrepreneurship accessible to everyone by building a unified platform for effortless business formation and management. We blend AI and creativity with rock-solid reliability to empower entrepreneurs to focus on what matters most: bringing their ideas to life. Candosa is a tech-enabled platform focused on AI roll-ups, backed by top-tier venture capital firms from Europe and the US. Last year, we closed one of Europe’s largest seed rounds, led by institutional investors with deep experience building category-defining companies. Candosa was founded by repeat founders of a US-based unicorn, and the team brings firsthand experience scaling technology businesses globally. Our current focus is Spain, where we are actively acquiring and deploying AI across high potential companies. Our ambition, however, is much bigger: to build Europe’s leading AI platform to help entrepreneurs start, operate, and grow their businesses. M&A is not a function at Candosa. It is one of the key pillars of our strategy. The Role We’re hiring an M&A Strategy Associate to help build and scale Candosa’s acquisition and value-creation engine. This is a high-ownership role sitting at the intersection of M&A, finance, and operations, reporting directly to the Strategy & Finance leadership. You will be deeply involved not only in sourcing and executing acquisitions, but also in understanding how our businesses actually operate post-close and how AI is drastically improving their potential over time. You will be a key connector between operations and finance, supporting financial modeling, performance analysis, and board-level presentations that shape strategic decision-making. This role is ideal for someone who has worked on transactions and kept feeling the pull to move from closing deals to actually building. What We’re Looking For We’re looking for someone with strong ownership, sharp judgment, and the willingness to go deep into the weeds, financially and operationally, to help Candosa make better decisions. You will be trusted with: • live M&A transactions, from sourcing to closing, • operational deep dives across portfolio companies, • board-level financial analysis and materials, • refining Candosa’s M&A playbook, • and supporting debt and equity fundraising initiatives That trust comes with real responsibility and, if executed well, can quickly evolve into a leadership role within Candosa. What You Will Do You will execute M&A end-to-end, and stay involved after close You’ll support acquisitions from sourcing and evaluation through diligence, structuring, and closing. But unlike traditional deal roles, your involvement doesn’t stop at signing. Post-close, you’ll work closely with operating teams to understand performance drivers, track integration progress, and help identify initiatives to improve outcomes. You will be the bridge between operations and finance You’ll go deep into how our businesses actually operate (processes, people, AI economics, etc.) and translate that reality into clear financial models, insights, and narratives for the executive leadership team and the board. You’ll support: • financial modeling and scenario analysis, • forecasting and performance tracking, • preparation of board materials, decision memos, and strategic presentations You will shape and refine Candosa’s M&A playbook You’ll play a central role in designing, refining, and improving Candosa’s M&A playbook from sourcing and diligence frameworks to integration processes and reporting cadence. You won’t just follow processes; you’ll help build them and translate best practices into a repeatable system that scales with the platform. You will support fundraising and capital strategy You’ll play a key role in debt and equity fundraising, supporting financial analysis, lender and investor materials, and strategic narratives in partnership with the Finance leader. You will operate with ownership and initiative You’ll proactively identify issues, propose improvements, and push initiatives forward without waiting to be asked. You’ll be comfortable deciding what matters, what doesn’t, and how to move things forward in ambiguous situations. About You You have 2–5 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, corporate development, M&A advisory, or strategy consulting, with direct exposure to transactions. You bring: • Strong financial modeling and analytical skills. Your professional experience has made you an advanced Excel user, • Experience building board-level decks and models, • Exceptional attention to detail, • Comfort working with ambiguity and imperfect data, • The ability to go deep operationally, not just financially You are fluent in Spanish and English, and comfortable working across cultures and geographies. Most importantly, you want to own outcomes, not just contribute inputs. This Role Is Not For You If You want to optimize for deal volume rather than long-term outcomes. This role is about what happens after close as much as the transaction itself. You thrive in well-defined structures or clearly bounded responsibilities. The work spans M&A, finance, and operations, and requires comfort operating in ambiguity. You prefer contributing analysis over owning outcomes. This role expects proactive ownership and follow-through. You’re not excited by getting into operational detail. This role requires judgment, initiative, and a willingness to stay close to the work. Building a startup can be unglamorous, but extremely rewarding. What Success Looks Like After 6 Months • You have supported multiple live transactions and are a key contributor to M&A workstreams., • You understand how Candosa’s businesses operate and can translate operational reality into clear financial models and board-ready insights., • You contribute meaningfully to board materials and strategic discussions., • You have identified and begun improving parts of Candosa’s M&A and integration playbook. After 12 Months • You independently own large parts of the M&A lifecycle, from evaluation through post-close follow-up., • You play a key role in refining Candosa’s M&A playbook and scaling it as the platform grows., • You are actively involved in debt and equity fundraising, supporting investor and lender materials., • You proactively surface and drive operational and financial improvement initiatives across the portfolio., • You are viewed as a high-ownership operator with a clear path toward broader leadership responsibility. Why Candosa • M&A is core to the company’s strategy, • Direct exposure to the leadership team, the board, and investors, • Real ownership across deals, operations, and capital formation, • Opportunity to help build Europe’s leading AI-driven platform, • A chance to compress years of learning into a short time If you want to build, not just advise, this role will stretch you in the right ways. 💰 Compensation: based on experience.
