IENAI SPACE is an early-stage startup located in Madrid, developing an end-to-end ecosystem of in-space mobility products, including propulsion systems and engineering SaaS. We are a highly innovative company in the “New Space” sector; the team is made up of a dynamic and multidisciplinary group of engineers, PhDs and developers, looking to revolutionize space mobility for the adoption of propulsion products in the smallest of satellites. We recently kickstarted our commercial phase with our first product: 360™, a Mission and Space Mobility analysis SaaS. As Mission Analyst, you will contribute to the technical development of mission design, flight dynamics and software solutions supporting space missions, as well as to customer-facing activities around our software products. This role combines solid hands-on experience in mission analysis with good software development skills and a collaborative mindset, delivering high-quality engineering work within a multidisciplinary team. Reporting to the Mission Analysis Tech Lead, you will participate in mission analysis studies, contribute to the development and validation of advanced software tools, and support customers in making the most of our solutions. Your main responsibilities will include: • Perform mission analysis tasks including trajectory design, propulsion sizing, spacecraft maneuver planning, and feasibility assessments, as part of internal projects and consulting contracts with industry stakeholders., • Develop, test and validate software models and simulations for mission analysis and flight dynamics, ensuring accuracy and consistency with engineering requirements., • Contribute to the development of advanced software solutions, with a focus on meeting customer needs and maintaining high standards of quality, testing and documentation, particularly for the 360™ tool., • Support customers in the use of company tools and solutions, providing technical guidance under the supervision of the Tech Lead., • Collaborate in the preparation of technical proposals for national and international opportunities., • Work closely with engineering, operations and system design teams to help ensure mission requirements are met. What is your department like? You will be part of our Mission Analysis and Operations department, which is in charge of the development of our 360™ tool, both in terms of software development and providing mission analysis services. What will make you succeed? Technical Requirements • Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field., • Approximately 3 years of hands-on experience in mission analysis within the space sector., • Good understanding of spacecraft modeling and key subsystems, including propulsion, ADCS, power, communications and thermal control., • Familiarity with mission analysis and flight dynamics tools or libraries such as GMAT, STK, Orekit, FreeFlyer, or equivalent., • Proficiency in Python and/or Julia. Knowledge of additional languages such as MATLAB or C++ is considered an asset., • Understanding of software engineering practices, including object-oriented programming, test-driven development and version control. Familiarity with CI/CD, UX/UI or DevSecOps environments (e.g., Docker, AWS) is a plus., • Solid grounding in orbital and attitude mechanics, optimization, and spacecraft operations. Experience with spacecraft maneuvering is valued., • Some exposure to technical proposals or space standards is an asset.
