We are looking for an Artificial Intelligence Engineer Intern with a passion for financial markets. This role blends technical expertise with financial insight, offering a unique chance to contribute to our cutting-edge technology research team. About the project ATLAS is a production-oriented financial intelligence platform that combines: Structured data ingestion, Knowledge graph modeling, Entity resolution, Temporal representation, And controlled integration with large language models. The focus is on building reliable, verifiable AI systems. Core Technical Requirements: Advanced Python and strong software engineering fundamentals. Demonstrated experience building non-trivial projects (substantial GitHub portfolio preferred). Ability to plan development tasks with LLMs, delegate implementation to coding agents, and design robust validation mechanisms. Experience working with APIs and structured/unstructured data. Familiarity with databases (SQL or NoSQL). AI & Systems Understanding: Hands-on experience using LLMs as part of small systems (e.g., simple retrieval workflows, tool use, or multi-step reasoning setups). Basic understanding of how data flows through an AI pipeline (input processing, transformation, validation, output evaluation). Interest in structured data modeling and explicit knowledge representation. Mindset & Operating Style: Strong problem-solving skills. Ability to operate autonomously in technically demanding environments. Comfort working on complex systems. Eligibility Requirements: Current university student (bachelor’s or master’s degree) in the European Union. Relocate to Donostia. Fluency in English or Spanish.
