ph3Role Overview /h3pThe Maintenance Technician carries out maintenance and repair work on electrical and mechanical installations or equipment such as production machinery, rotating equipment, electrical installations, transport systems, buildings, facilities and constructions. The role ensures technical assignments are completed on time, safely and according to specifications to support the optimal running of production. The technician operates within a production or technical department, focusing on preventive and corrective maintenance to prevent malfunction of equipment and keep the production process running. /ph3Responsibilities /h3ulliInspections and preventive / planned maintenanceulliChecks and assesses the condition of handling equipment, pneumatic and/or mechanical/electrical systems, reception and silo installations, grinding, mixing and pressing lines, bag filling, feed/fertilizer, bulk loading and weighbridges based on maintenance schedules and checklists. /liliRestores imminent defects and performs corrective maintenance arising from inspections. /liliSignals potential flaws to the superior with details of nature and severity, proposing solutions to avoid future problems. /liliOrders or polls spare parts and materials for maintenance. /liliPerforms planned maintenance activities of more extensive and/or complex nature during maintenance stops, and may supervise technicians of third parties. /li /ul /liliMalfunctions and defects / repairsulliTroubleshoots malfunctions and defects in equipment, machinery, measuring and control systems. /liliAssesses the nature and extent of the problem and determines whether instant repair is necessary or possible, evaluating fault causes and potential solutions. /liliPerforms emergency repairs, disassembles parts of equipment or machinery, and makes necessary repairs or changes in consultation with the supervisor. /liliPerforms more extensive repairs at scheduled times based on prepared planning and instructions (disassembly / assembly, parts replacement, set / adjust parts). /liliWorks with colleagues on jobs of more extensive and/or complex nature and may supervise technicians of third parties. /li /ul /liliModifications and improvementsulliCarries out modifications and overhaul work based on work orders or instructions from the supervisor. /liliProposes improvements in equipment, machinery and other areas based on expertise and experience. /liliConsults with management on quality issues and technical problems. /liliOrders to (re)make certain components from drawings. /liliMay perform various techniques such as welding, lathe and plate work, machining. /li /ul /liliReportingulliLogs all maintenance activities in the maintenance management system to maintain complete records and insight into the state and history of all equipment. /li /ul /liliComplianceulliWorks in compliance with all relevant safety regulations and procedures (work permits, LoTo, etc.) and technical standards. /liliSignals potential hazardous or unsafe situations and takes appropriate action in case of imminent unsafe situations. /li /ul /li /ulh3Equal Opportunity Employer /h3pTrouw Nutrition is an equal opportunity employer; applicants are considered for all roles without regard to race, color, religious creed, sex, national origin, citizenship status, age, physical or mental disability, sexual orientation, marital, parental, military status or any other status protected by applicable local law.
