Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Project Planner to support the delivery of a large-scale Data Centre construction project in Madrid. The Planner will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and monitoring detailed project schedules, ensuring alignment with construction progress, procurement, engineering, and commissioning milestones. The role requires close collaboration with construction, engineering, commercial, and client teams to ensure programme certainty, risk visibility, and on-time project delivery. Key Responsibilities • Establish baseline programmes and manage updates throughout the project lifecycle, • Track progress, identify delays, and produce look-ahead schedules, • Perform critical path, float, and impact analysis, • Support change management, extensions of time (EOTs), and programme risk assessments, • Interface with construction managers, subcontractors, and package leads, • Integrate civil, M&E, procurement, engineering, and commissioning activities into the master programme, • Prepare and present weekly and monthly planning reports to senior management and client, • Support recovery planning and mitigation strategies, • Ensure planning outputs comply with contract requirements and best practice Software & Tools • Primavera P6 (essential), • MS Project (desirable), • Advanced Excel, • Power BI or similar reporting tools (advantageous) Skills & Qualifications Required • Proven experience as a Planner / Planning Engineer on large-scale construction projects, • Background in M&E, Civil, or combined construction disciplines, • Strong understanding of complex construction sequencing and work packaging, • Experience working on major projects with multiple subcontractors and interfaces, • Strong analytical, reporting, and stakeholder management skills Preferred • Previous experience working on Data Centre, industrial, or other complex infrastructure projects, • Experience with Tier 1 contractors or EPC contractors, • English language fluency (Spanish beneficial but not essential)
