Join a thriving environment tasked with delivering new and disruptive technologies! We are looking for an FPGA Design Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing the high-performance firmware for our advanced FPGA-based systems, using industry-standard electronic design automation (EDA) tools. You will work closely with our hardware and system architecture teams to implement and validate the interface to a state-of-the-art, high-speed image sensor. This is an ideal position for a professional with a deep understanding of digital logic, high-speed interfaces, and a passion for cutting-edge vision systems. Key Responsibilities: • Design and develop FPGA firmware (VHDL/Verilog) based on system architecture specifications., • Collaborate with hardware engineers to define interface requirements, pinouts, and timing constraints., • Utilize major FPGA development suites (e.g., Xilinx Vivado, Intel Quartus) for RTL design, synthesis, implementation, and timing analysis., • Review and verify firmware functionality through simulation and in-system testing., • Implement and optimize high-speed data capture logic, including SERDES and dynamic delay calibration for LVDS interfaces., • Coordinate with the hardware team to lead the integration and debugging of firmware on the target platform., • Perform timing closure analysis and troubleshoot issues in complex digital designs., • Maintain and update design documentation, version control, and technical specifications., • Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in FPGA technologies and high-speed interface design., • Assist in the continuous improvement of firmware development and verification methodologies., • Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field., • Proven experience with industry-standard FPGA development tools (e.g., Xilinx Vivado, Intel Quartus)., • Strong understanding of digital logic design, RTL coding (VHDL/Verilog), and synchronous design principles., • Experience with high-speed I/O interfaces (e.g., LVDS, SerDes)., • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills., • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities., • Attention to detail and a high level of precision in work., • Ability to manage complex technical tasks and meet project deadlines. Nice to haves: • Prior experience with CMOS image sensors and camera interfaces., • Knowledge of advanced timing closure techniques and writing complex timing constraints., • Experience with AXI4 protocols and DMA controllers for high-throughput data transfer.
