Overview: I'm partnering with a scaling deep-tech company operating in the semiconductor, AI, and advanced computing space. They’re looking for a Procurement Engineering Manager to build and lead a robust procurement and supplier strategy across technology licenses and complex electronic hardware. The Role This is a senior, hands-on role owning procurement strategy, supplier management, and supply-chain resilience. You’ll work closely with engineering, finance, legal, and operations to ensure secure supply, cost optimisation, and scalability in a fast-growing environment. Key Responsibilities • Define and execute a global procurement strategy for IP/software licenses and electronic components, • Own procurement budgets, cost optimisation, and spend analysis, • Manage strategic suppliers (IP licensors, semiconductor vendors, EMS partners), • Lead RFPs, sourcing, and complex commercial negotiations, • Model and optimise supply chains for resilience, lead times, and risk mitigation, • Oversee supplier onboarding, performance, and compliance, • Lead or support ERP implementation (SAP or similar) and procurement digitalisation, • Embed ESG and ethical sourcing into procurement practices Ideal Background • 5–8 years’ experience in procurement or supply chain within electronics, semiconductors, or high-tech, • Strong experience with strategic supplier management and negotiations, • Solid understanding of electronic components, assemblies, and complex BOMs, • Experience optimising supply chains and managing risk, • Hands-on ERP experience (SAP preferred), • Confident stakeholder manager across technical and commercial teams
