Senior Finance Accountant Position Overview A multinational company with international presence is looking to hire a Senior Accountant to join its finance team in Barcelona. The role will be part of a structured and corporate finance environment, working closely with the local finance team and interacting with group-level stakeholders. This position has a strong technical accounting focus, with direct involvement in financial closings, reporting and compliance processes at group level. Key Responsibilities • Manage general accounting for one or more group entities., • Actively participate in monthly, quarterly and annual financial closings., • Prepare and analyze balance sheets, P&L statements and financial reports., • Perform bank and account reconciliations., • Monitor fixed assets, depreciation and provisions., • Prepare and review taxes (VAT, withholding taxes, Intrastat, etc.) in coordination with the tax department and external advisors., • Support internal and external audits., • Ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies and procedures., • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, process optimization and finance transformation projects. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or similar., • 4–6 years of experience in a Senior Accountant or similar role., • Previous experience in a multinational or large corporate environment., • Solid knowledge of general accounting and taxation., • Experience working with corporate ERPs (SAP, Oracle or similar) and strong Excel skills., • Experience with group reporting and audit processes is highly valued., • English level C1 – mandatory, with ability to work in an international environment., • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
