Job Title: Sommelier Location: Uluwatu Restaurant, Tenerife Start Date: 11/06/2025 About Uluwatu: Uluwatu is a destination restaurant in Tenerife that brings together the flavours of Asia and Peru in a bold, shared-plate concept. Set in a dramatic cave-inspired venue, we offer a refined, design-forward dining experience that captivates the senses. Our beverage program is crafted to complement this unique culinary journey. The Role: We are looking for a knowledgeable, charismatic, and passionate Sommelier to join our opening team. You will be responsible for curating wine pairings, managing the wine list, training staff, and elevating the guest experience through storytelling and expertise. You Are: • Certified Sommelier (WSET Level 2 minimum or equivalent), • Highly knowledgeable in international wines, especially natural and Old/New World wines, • Experienced in pairing wines with complex, fusion cuisine, • Fluent in English; Spanish is a plus, • Recommend wine pairings for our diverse, flavour-driven menu, • Maintain wine stock and oversee cellar organisation, • Train FOH staff on wine knowledge and service, • Build relationships with suppliers and manage ordering, • Competitive salary, • Staff meals and ongoing training, • A dynamic, design-focused environment, • The opportunity to be part of a high-level opening team
