About Us We’re a new, English-run café focused on quality, comfort, and community. Our small but growing menu features fresh, homemade food — think hearty breakfasts, light lunches, and classic café favourites. As we grow, we’re looking for a passionate and creative chef to take the lead in developing our kitchen and helping us expand our menu. The Role As our Chef, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day running of a small kitchen and for helping shape the future of our food offering. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who loves cooking, enjoys variety, and wants to have a real influence in a growing business. Key Responsibilities • Prepare and cook high-quality dishes from our existing menu., • Work with the owner to develop new menu items and specials., • Maintain excellent food presentation and portion control., • Manage kitchen stock levels and place orders as needed., • Ensure food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards are always met., • Support a small team (or work independently at times)., • Contribute ideas for improving efficiency and customer satisfaction. Requirements • Previous experience as a chef or cook in a café, bistro, or similar setting., • Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards., • Passion for fresh, homemade food and creative menu development., • Ability to work independently and manage a small kitchen efficiently., • Reliable, positive, and a good communicator. Nice to Have • Experience with British/European-style café menus., • Interest in baking or pastry preparation., • Basic knowledge of costing and menu planning.
