We’re looking for a friendly, enthusiastic barista to join the team at our new café, Reins. You’ll be responsible for preparing high-quality coffee and drinks, providing excellent customer service, taking orders, keeping the café clean and welcoming, and supporting the team during busy periods. Previous barista experience is preferred, but we’re also happy to consider someone who is passionate, reliable, eager to learn, and enjoys working with people. Barista – FOAM Coffee Shop | Fitzrovia Location: Fitzrovia, London Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:30am–4:00pm Occasional Saturday shifts About FOAM FOAM is a new independent coffee shop in the heart of Fitzrovia, focused on great coffee, quality matcha, good food and genuinely friendly service. We’re looking for a friendly, reliable and hardworking Barista to join the FOAM team and play an important role in the day-to-day running of the shop. The Role This is more than simply making coffee. You’ll be one of the main faces of FOAM and will help ensure the shop runs smoothly from opening through to closing. You’ll be responsible for delivering great coffee and matcha providing excellent customer service and maintaining high standards throughout the day. Key Responsibilities ● Open the shop at 7:30am and ensure everything is ready for service ● Prepare and serve high-quality coffee and matcha ● Confidently manage busy periods and high customer volumes ● Provide warm, friendly and efficient customer service ● Take customer orders and operate the till/payment system ● Prepare food and drinks to FOAM’s standards ● Maintain a clean, organised and welcoming shop throughout the day ● Complete daily cleaning duties ● Manage stock levels and communicate when supplies need replenishing ● Receive and organise deliveries when required ● Ensure the shop is fully stocked and prepared for the following day ● Close the shop at the end of the day and ensure it is secure ● Follow food hygiene, health & safety and cleaning procedures ● Help maintain the overall presentation and atmosphere of FOAM What We’re Looking For ● Previous barista or café experience preferred ● Confident making quality espresso-based drinks ● Experience making matcha is an advantage ● Comfortable working quickly and calmly during busy periods ● Warm, friendly and approachable personality ● Excellent customer service skills ● Reliable and punctual ● Organised and able to work independently ● High standards of cleanliness and presentation ● Good attention to detail ● Positive, hardworking attitude ● Someone who takes pride in their work and wants to help build FOAM into a successful local coffee shop The FOAM Personality We want someone who genuinely enjoys working with people.
