Summary Be part of a newly created team in a beautiful, ambitious café & food hall, located front and centre in the ground floor of our mixed use hospitality and workspace building in Peckham. You will be involved in all parts of the day to day life of the café & food hall, preparing hot and cold food and drinks, welcoming and serving our customers and maintaining very high standards of upkeep and visual presentation to help us create an excellent, well established neighbourhood destination. With expert training offered, this is a great opportunity to work in a collaborative, progressive venue which is full of life and open to all. We’re looking for an organised, highly diligent person who loves to connect with and serve customers to ensure an exceptional and memorable experience. Applicants should have at least 1 year experience in speciality coffee, and ideally up to 2 years working in a high paced environment. SCA foundation is a bonus but not essential. You’ll be working with a range of Conti, on-demand grinders, Puq press and batch brew machinery, so will need to be comfortable calibrating grinders, managing workflow, and prioritising drinks as they come in. Having an understanding of working to recipe and tweaking where necessary to achieve desired flavour is a must. We are looking for an experienced waiter/waitress to join our small and friendly team. The estimated weekly hours are 15-25 with potential for more. We want someone who can commit long term and not just for the summer. A bit about us : Evi's is a busy neighbourhood restaurant that opened last summer in the heart of East Dulwich. It is an intimate space of 25 covers with a small kitchen that's fun and creative. The food is a celebration of Greek food from the grill, classic and seasonal meze plates and salads all made using premium producers and suppliers. The style of the restaurant is casual but with emphasis on quality and ethically-sourced produce. Food and soft drinks that is all freshly prepared in the restaurant from scratch and an eclectic selection of wines and beers from small producers.
