Job Purpose To provide general plumbing maintenance at a number of Residential/Commercial properties to ensure that they are kept safe, secure and in good condition. Accountabilities/Responsibilities Carry out a variety of planned and reactive plumbing maintenance tasks, which will be varied in nature. ( leaks, boilers, tap replacements etc.) Carry out planned preventative building maintenance in line with set programme's. Work individually or as part of a team to complete repair and maintenance tasks. Manage and prioritize your own workload in order to complete repairs in a timely manner. Use relevant IT systems to record all work undertaken and related expenditure. Undertake regular safety checks on vehicles used for work purposes as required . Keep vehicles in a clean and tidy order, ensuring that vehicles are secure and correctly parked when not in use. Adhere to health and safety policy and procedures, identify hazards and undertake point of work risk assessments as required. Communicate effectively with building occupiers to minimize inconvenience when planning and undertaking building maintenance. The Role As an HGV Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a fleet of Heavy Goods Vehicles to ensure they remain safe, reliable, and fully compliant with DVSA regulations. Full job description This is a full-time permanent role, with a basic salary ranging from £30,000 to £55,000 (depending on your experience and productivity level), plus overtime for those who wish to work additional hours. Key Responsibilities: Carry out inspections, repairs and services to the highest of standards within scheduled times, meeting company standards. Making sure all necessary Vehicle Health Checks are completed accurately. Take responsibility for ensuring all jobs are completed to a good standard. Replace components, parts, lubricants and consumables and record usage. Adhere to strict Health and safety guidelines at all times. Minimum Requirements: Minimum NVQ level qualification (or equivalent). The capability to work within a highly successful team. MOT Card preferable but not essential. A full UK driving licence is essential. 25 days holiday (plus Bank Holidays). Opportunity to be trained as an MOT tester.
