Here’s a breakdown of the key responsibilities and requirements: Responsibilities: Disassembling and reassembling car interiors: You’ll need to take apart car interiors, including seats, panels, and upholstery, and put everything back together to original specifications. Patterning and cutting materials: Be able to create precise patterns for upholstery and then cut the materials accordingly. Sewing upholstery: Using a variety of stitching techniques to trim and upholster seats, carpets, and other interior elements. Leather seat trimming and repairs: Working on leather seats, including repairing seat panels as needed. Tailored carpets: You’ll be expected to fit custom carpets into vehicles to ensure a perfect finish. Hoods and tonneaus: Fitting soft tops, hoods, tonneau covers, and hood bags for convertible or classic cars. Motorbike seats: You’ll also work on motorbike seats, using similar skills to those required for car interiors. Attention to detail and problem-solving: An eye for detail is essential, especially when dealing with repairs or unique problems that arise on the job. Requirements: Experience: At least 2 years of experience in trimming and upholstery, especially with cars or similar projects. Skills: Expertise in trimming leather, working with various types of fabric, and understanding the intricacies of different car interiors.
