In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of communal areas within residential blocks, ensuring a clean, safe, and pleasant environment for residents and visitors. Key Responsibilities: • Perform thorough cleaning of communal hallways, stairwells, corridors, and entrances., • Clean and polish lifts, doors, handrails, skirting boards, and internal glass surfaces., • Vacuum carpets and mats in all communal areas., • Remove cobwebs from communal spaces and entrances., • Conduct litter picking in external areas such as pathways and green spaces., • Manage bin stores, including moving bins for collection and ensuring bin rooms are clean and free of loose rubbish., • Report any issues such as graffiti, fly-tipping, vandalism, or maintenance problems., • Maintain cleaning equipment and ensure the safe and proper use of cleaning chemicals., • Adhere strictly to company health and safety procedures. this is an Apprenticeship - which means you'd be working as a housekeeper as normal in the hostel but doing some additional studies leading to a qualification? STUDY / HOSPITALITY QUALIFICATION You would study towards a Hospitality Team Member Apprenticeship Level 2. This is a 12 month course which we will pay for and will pay you to do 3 hours study per week – outside of your working hours. You will be carrying out deep cleaning services in apartments located in Watford. You are expected to clean every area of each apartment to a very high standard, paying close attention to detail throughout the property. There are two locations you will be cleaning at Wembley Park & Watford. All cleaning products and equipment will be provided by us. The apartments in Watford are accessible from London via the Metropolitan Line, making travel to the site straightforward (Metropolitan Station Approach, Watford). Areas to be Cleaned • Bedrooms, • Kitchen, • Living Room, • Hallways, • Bathrooms Additional tasks and cleaning requirements will be explained during training and outlined in the cleaning checklist provided.
