Job Description: We are seeking a passionate and experienced barista to join our team at ARRO Coffee. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and crafting delicious coffee beverages for our beloved customers. Responsibilities: - Take orders for food and drinks, handle cash transactions and operate POS systems to process payments accurately. - Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and espresso-based drinks according to ARRO's recipes and standards. - Serve food items such as pastries, sandwiches and salads. - Provide friendly and attentive customer service, greeting customers warmly, taking orders accurately, and addressing any questions or concerns. - Maintain cleanliness and organization in the cafe, including cleaning equipment, cups, cutlery, trays, sanitizing work surfaces, and restocking supplies as needed. - Uphold food safety and hygiene standards in the handling and preparation of food items. - Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations and a positive work environment. Requirements: - Previous experience as a barista or in a similar customer service role preferred. - Knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and espresso equipment. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Positive and proactive attitude. - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively. - Attention to detail and a commitment to quality and cleanliness. - Availability to work flexible hours, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Maison Gigi brings tarts and regional sweet and savoury specialities from France. It’s an open-kitchen concept and this family-run business also offer events catering. Summary of the role - Greet and meet guests at the deli desk. - Present our deli and coffee, provide relevant information to our guests (food allergies, portions, various upselling and add-ons). - Preparing and serving beverages, ranging from simple to elaborate ones. - Inform guests about our specials and any dishes or drinks that we are currently promoting. - Offer hot drinks or deli recommendations upon request. - Up-sell in both deli (pastry and cakes) and beverages. - Take accurate orders. - Taking accurate payments from customers. - Communicate efficiently with the Front of House and managers. - Maintaining inventory and equipment by cleaning and recording any defects. - Check your crockery and area for cleanliness and presentation and report any issues. - Arrange barista and deli settings, maintaining a tidy section. - Keeping the work environment safe, sanitary, and organized. - To respect the Allergen standards laid out by the law and Chez Antoinette standards. - Participate in team briefings and have a keen interest in the daily life of the restaurant. - Follow all relevant Health and Safety regulations and policies. - Provide excellent customer service to guests.

We need an excellent barista for an excellent and experience led dining and coffee space with a bookshop and curated antiques collection. We serve fantastic, ethically sourced, meticulously prepared food as well as speciality sourced and roasted coffee, loose leaf teas, hot chocolate, cold drinks, natural wines and craft beer and ciders. We prepare hot drinks to exacting standards, precisely weighing coffee through our high quality grinders and coffee machine. If you have experience of speciality coffee and drinks that would be great but equally we are happy to train the right person. We are looking for immediate starts. This position is part time, around thirty hours per week, and includes at least one weekend day and flexibility for covering shifts. We are looking for a full time barista / coffee stall assistant Hours are 6.30am - 2.30pm Monday - Friday working 37-40 hours per week Experienced is preferred This is an outdoor job and you be required to set up and close down each day and put the bike away near to the pitch location Starting pay is £425 per week and paid via cash every Monday with working one week in hand and on a 12 week probation period where the salary will increase but go onto monthly pay. location is between Hoxton and Islington N1
