The Opportunity We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Landscape Gardener Team Leader to lead our dedicated landscape crew. This pivotal role involves overseeing projects within a 10-mile radius of Clapham, ensuring the delivery of high-quality landscaping services and managing multiple projects efficiently. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in landscape gardening, including essential hardscaping skills such as bricklaying, paving, decking, and fencing. Excellent leadership abilities and a genuine passion for creating stunning outdoor spaces are crucial. We will be applying to the British Association of Landscape Industries this year, so it's exciting times. Key Responsibilities Lead and Supervise: Supervise and lead a team of landscape gardeners, ensuring efficient completion of tasks to the highest standards and within budget for labour. Project Management: Plan and coordinate daily activities, assign tasks, monitor team performance, and ensure project goals are met. Collaborate and Innovate: Work closely with the company owner to understand project requirements, offer innovative solutions, and contribute creative ideas. Site Assessment: Conduct thorough site assessments and inspections to determine project needs, resources, and potential challenges. Team Development: Train and mentor team members, fostering a positive, collaborative work environment and encouraging continuous professional development. Equipment & Safety: Maintain all equipment and tools in optimal working condition, ensure proper utilisation by the team, and rigorously monitor compliance with safety regulations and best practices. Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels and coordinate supply orders with the owner to ensure timely project execution and delivery. Client Satisfaction: Provide exceptional customer service, promptly addressing any client concerns or questions to ensure satisfaction. Regulatory Knowledge: Possess a working knowledge of relevant building and planning regulations. Qualifications Proven Experience: Demonstrated experience in landscape gardening, with a minimum of 1-2 years in a supervisory or leadership role, or a strong indication of readiness for advancement into such a position. Technical Skills: Proficient in the use of a wide range of landscaping tools and equipment. Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of landscape design principles and sustainable practices. Knowledge of horticulture is preferred, but can be developed. Organisational Excellence: Excellent organisational skills, time-management abilities, and a proven track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously. Leadership & Communication: Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to motivate, inspire, and lead a diverse team. Financial Acumen: Ability to manage personal taxes and expenditures as a self-employed individual.# Physical Requirements Ability to perform manual labour in various weather conditions. Job Title: Handyman (Full-Time) Location: London (Mobile Across Managed Properties) About the Role: We are a property management company looking for a reliable, skilled Handyman to join our team. This is a hands-on, full-time position focused on supporting our day-to-day maintenance operations across our managed properties. Your work will be central to reducing our reliance on external contractors, helping us streamline costs while ensuring high-quality maintenance for our tenants and landlords. There is strong potential for career progression, including promotion and expansion into a full in-house maintenance team leadership role based on performance and cost savings delivered. 4 days per week Applicants must have excellent health & safety, safeguarding, building management, fire safety and COSHH training/understanding with a minimum of 1/2yrs experience in a professional environment. You must have competent IT skills in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word, high-level knowledge of working with third party contractors and the local authority councils. Planning skills with a methodical approach and able to follow procedure precisely. 5. Must be a proactive and structured self-starter able to work on own initiative. 6. Training in asbestos, fire safety and legionella awareness. 7. COSHH training certificate/qualification. 8. Current DBS certificate – if not, the successful applicant will acquire a DBS certificate 9. First Aid at Work certificate – preference Level 2 upwards, which also be acquired on appointment 10. Awareness of Equality & Diversity and Environment regulations. 11. Competent working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word. 12. Ability to maintain accurate data for carbon footprint monitoring and reporting – utilities usage. 13. Must be numerate and fluent in spoken and written English. ** Desirable:** 1.
