MERITUS are recruiting for a Business Support Officer to join our defence client on an initial 6 month contract from their site in Bristol to work on upcoming projects. BUSINESS SUPPORT OFFICER - INSIDE IR35 - £26.35 PER HOUR - UNDERGO SC CLEARANCE - 6 MONTHS - BRISTOL - SINGLE STAGE INTERVIEW PROCESS Working as a Business Support Officer (BSO) in a friendly and supportive team, you will provide administrative and operational support to a Programmes Team based at our Bristol site. To provide pro-active, accurate and comprehensive administrative support to the Senior Management team members to include, but not limited to: Main priority: • To manage complex diaries, extensive travel arrangements and expenses, • To organise meetings, events, workshops, training days and participate when required and take and manage actions, • Create and maintain MS Excel spreadsheets, PowerPoint presentations, MS One Note and MS Word documents accurately, • strong level on all Microsoft packages, and have experience of diary management, • Manage an access control process to ensure control of data and compliance, • Understanding and utilising our client systems, tools and policies, • Supporting any wider UKSF activities such as participation and contribution to working groups, • Customer-facing experience., • An enthusiastic team player who demonstrates integrity, is approachable, friendly and maintains confidentiality., • Experience in a similar Business /Admin Support role; managing complex diaries, organising meetings, events and travel arrangements, • Someone who can exhibit a high level of resilience, communication, organisation skills and attention to detail, which is key to success in this role, • Someone who is forward thinking, who looks to improve efficiencies in working practices and processes, • Intermediate knowledge of MS Office Applications (PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, OneNote), • Ability to prioritise, multi-task and manage your own workload effectively, • Willingness to learn and extend the role above and beyond the job description, • To develop to become the knowledge point of contact within the team, • Confident in building effective working relationships at all levels, • Participation in UK Support Function and personal development initiatives
