GVR Solutions are representing a well-established specialist contractor operating across the FRA and joinery fit-out sector. Due to continued growth, they are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their team. The successful candidate will have a strong commercial background within FRA fire door installation and bespoke joinery fit-out works, with the ability to manage projects from tender through to final account. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially driven QS who understands the specialist nature of fire door and joinery packages and is looking to take on a key role within a growing business. Key Responsibilities of the Quantity Surveyor: • Manage the commercial aspects of multiple fire door and bespoke joinery fit-out projects., • Prepare, review and manage project budgets, forecasts and cost reports., • Manage variations, valuations, applications for payment and final accounts., • Review and negotiate subcontractor and supplier accounts., • Assess project costs, risks and commercial opportunities., • Work closely with project managers, site teams, clients and subcontractors., • Prepare and submit accurate valuations and variation claims., • Monitor project performance against budgets and agreed commercial targets., • Assist with tendering, pricing and procurement activities., • Ensure contractual obligations and commercial procedures are followed., • Maintain accurate project records and provide regular commercial reporting., • Build strong working relationships with clients, contractors and supply chain partners. The Quantity Surveyor must have/be: • Proven experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within construction., • Specific experience with FRA fire door installation and/or bespoke joinery and fit-out projects., • A strong understanding of construction contracts, variations, valuations and final accounts., • Excellent commercial awareness and attention to detail., • Strong negotiation and communication skills., • The ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively., • Good knowledge of construction methods, materials and associated costs., • A proactive and commercially minded approach., • Experience working with clients, subcontractors and suppliers.
