About the Role This is a fantastic opportunity to work with grassroots children and play a meaningful role in their development through sport. As an After School Fencing Club Coach, you’ll have the privilege of introducing young people to fencing, often for the very first time, helping them build confidence, discipline, and a love for physical activity in a fun and supportive environment. Key Responsibilities • Deliver engaging and structured after-school fencing sessions, • Create a safe, inclusive, and enjoyable learning environment, • Introduce basic fencing techniques and promote skill development, • Encourage participation, teamwork, and positive behaviour, • Represent the club in a professional and friendly manner What We’re Looking For • Enthusiastic and passionate about working with children, • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage groups effectively, • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, • Friendly, approachable, and welcoming attitude, • Reliable, organised, and punctual, • Ability to motivate and inspire young participants Training & Support • No prior fencing coaching experience? No problem, we offer fencing coach development classes to train and support you, • Access to a structured syllabus to guide sessions and support delivery Requirements • Enhanced DBS check (essential), • Registered on the DBS Update Service, • Safeguarding Certificate (required, can be obtained through our services if not already held) If you’re looking for a rewarding role where you can make a real impact and inspire the next generation, we’d love to hear from you.
