Events Coordinator Location: London / Hybrid (2-3-days in the office, with flexibility around events required) Contract: 6-month temporary Salary: £18 per hour + holiday pay MLC Partners are supporting a leading Russell Group university in recruiting an interim Events Coordinator. This is a fast-paced and varied role supporting the delivery of a large-scale events programme, including high-profile speakers, academic seminars, conferences and student-facing events. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring events are delivered to a high standard, engaging a diverse academic and student audience. The Role Working as part of a collaborative events team, you will support the planning, promotion and delivery of a busy events programme. You will take ownership of allocated events from initial planning through to on-the-day delivery, liaising with a range of internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless execution. Key Responsibilities: • Coordinate the end-to-end planning and delivery of a diverse programme of events within a higher education setting, • Manage event logistics including venues, AV, catering and scheduling, liaising with internal departments and external suppliers, • Lead on the delivery of events on the day, ensuring a high-quality and professional experience for attendees, • Maintain and update event systems, calendars and databases with accurate information, • Support the promotion of events through digital channels, including websites, email campaigns and social media, • Build strong relationships with academic staff, stakeholders and external partners to support event delivery, • Proven experience coordinating events within an education setting, ideally within higher education (essential), • Experience delivering a range of events including academic, public or student-focused events, • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously, • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams, • Experience using event management tools such as Eventbrite, Zoom or similar platforms
