Counterbalance Forklift Driver Location: Cumbernauld \n Pay Rate: £15.50 per hour \n Contract Type: Temporary (with a strong possibility of going permanent for the right candidate) \n Working Hours: \n\n • Monday – Thursday: 08:00 – 16:00\n, • Friday: 08:00 – 15:00 \n (37 hours per week – Enjoy an early finish every Friday!) \n\n About the RoleWe are currently recruiting for an experienced and reliable Counterbalance Forklift Driver / Warehouse Operator to join our busy team in Cumbernauld. \n This position starts on a temporary basis, with a genuine opportunity to secure a permanent contract based on performance, attendance, and team fit. It is a key dual role within our warehouse operation, combining forklift driving with day-to-day warehouse duties. \n Key Responsibilities \n\n • Operating the Counterbalance forklift safely and efficiently to load, unload, and move stock around the warehouse.\n, • Managing goods in/out, including checking deliveries against paperwork and reporting discrepancies.\n, • Stacking, racking, and picking orders accurately for dispatch.\n, • Assisting with general warehouse duties, manual handling, and maintaining a clean, safe working environment.\n, • Supporting periodic stock checks and inventory audits.\n\n Candidate Requirements \n\n • Certification: Valid, accredited Counterbalance Forklift license (RTITB, ITSSAR, or equivalent).\n, • Experience: Proven experience operating a Counterbalance truck in a fast-paced warehouse environment.\n, • Work Ethic: Reliable, punctual, and looking for a long-term position with career stability.\n, • Safety Mindset: Strong commitment to Health & Safety standards.\n\n Benefits \n\n • Competitive Pay: £15.50/hr\n, • Long-Term Opportunity: Pathway to a permanent contract for top performers\n, • Work-Life Balance: Early finish at 3:00 PM every Friday\n, • Consistent daytime shift pattern\n, • Free on-site parking\n
