Job Summary Overview HGV Class 2 driver required to work for our client based in Dagenham, Essex on a temporary to permanent basis. Starting 28/04/2025 Excellent starting Salary Responsibilities Operate flatbed lorries to transport goods to various locations safely and efficiently to builders merchants and building sites throughout London and the South east. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Assist in loading and unloading of goods as necessary. Hours 06:00 to 16:00 Monday to Friday. This is a job -to -finish role Pay rates are quoted including holiday PAYE or Umbrella are the agency pay options which will be discussed prior to the start date Qualifications HGV C Class 2 category licence for 12 months or more No more than 6 endorsement points The ideal candidate will be looking for career progression Paid Moffett training Experience as a delivery driver, preferably with flatbed vehicles. Strong understanding of road safety regulations and best practices in transportation. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet delivery schedules. No bank holidays or weekend working as a general rule Excellent communication skills for interaction with clients and team members. Physical stamina to handle loading/unloading tasks as well as long hours on the road.

Verify the accuracy of delivery orders, cross - checking items against the provided manifests.​ Documentation​:Complete all necessary delivery paperwork accurately, including delivery receipts and mileage logs. Provide customers with the appropriate documentation and obtain signatures as required. Requirements​ Driving License​:Must possess a valid UK driving license with an acceptable driving record. Experience in commercial driving is highly desirable.​ Time Management​:Have excellent time - management skills to ensure timely deliveries. Customer Service Skills​:Demonstrate good communication and customer service skills. Interact professionally with customers, addressing any queries or concerns they may have.

Freelance Van Drive needed for 6-10 hours per week in South East London to deliver food between prep kitchen and restaurants. We can provide the van.

Weekend availability is a MUST, Full clean UK Driving License necessary. Shift patterns: Saturday and Sunday (scope to add more days after you have joined if interested) Rough shift timings are as folllows: 6.30am - 9.30am 3pm - 7.30pm £135 a day pay You will be expected to have fantastic time keeping skills as the whole operation rely's on the driver arriving and delivering on time. You will arrive in the morning to the Prep Unit in Woolwich SE18 and load the van with all food required for the day. Sometimes you will be doing multiple drops in the morning and multiple collections in the afternoon. You will drive to the location specified, usually around 30minutes-1hour drive, here you will be met by another colleague where you will both unload and set up the gazebo and market pitch together. At 9.30am you will leave and return to collect the items again at roughly 3pm. The afternoon shift is the same as the morning but obviously in reverse and you will finish your shift at around 7.30pm at the prep unit in Woolwich SE18.
