I'm working with a well-loved, busy coastal pub with rooms in Essex thats looking for a strong Sous Chef to join the kitchen team. This role will be contracted at 45 hours per week, operating Wednesday to Sunday, and overtime will be paid. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with fresh, seasonal produce in a proper food-led pub environment. The kitchen is well organised, the menu is quality-driven, and theres a good mix of locals, regulars, and destination diners. The Role: • Supporting the Head Chef with the day-to-day running of the kitchen, • Leading the team during service and ensuring consistency across all dishes, • Maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene, • Assisting with ordering, stock control, and GP, • A Sous Chef or strong Junior Sous or Senior CDP ready to step up, • Competitive salary & guaranteed Tronc of 7.5k per annum., • Discretionary bonus worth up to 10% of salary, • £1,500 of perks including £550 voucher to spend in our three sites, • Great work-life balance compared to many kitchens
