Fallow was founded by three individuals in May 2019, two chefs Jack Croft and William Murray, and career hospitality entrepreneur James Robson. The essence of this combination makes up much of Fallows DNA, where conscious culinary creativity meets hospitality experience and passion. Fallow’s permanent home in St James’s market was established in November 2021 and has since attracted a string of awards including both the Marie Claire and GQ ‘sustainable restaurant of the year’ and the Caterer award for ‘best new restaurant’. We are currently seeking a part-time Maintenance Assistant to join our dedicated Maintenance Department. Working closely with our Maintenance Manager and the business owners, this hands-on role is key to supporting the smooth operation of our three dynamic sites: Fallow, our flagship restaurant; Fowl, our neighbouring concept; and our newest opening, Roe, in Canary Wharf. The successful candidate will bring energy, initiative, and a problem-solving mindset to every task. Key responsibilities: - Support day-to-day maintenance needs across all three restaurant sites. - Carry out basic repairs including plumbing, electrics, carpentry, and decoration. - Source and collect materials or parts needed for tasks. - Assist in the planning and execution of preventative maintenance (PPMs). - Liaise with contractors for quotes, scheduling, and supervision of works. - Maintain workshop tools and stock, ensuring efficient organisation. - Contribute to larger projects such as equipment installation or overnight refurbishments. - Ensure all work is completed safely, professionally, and with minimal disruption. About you: - Hands-on experience with plumbing and electrical repairs. - Competent in using hand and power tools (e.g. drills, angle grinders, multi-tools). - Skilled in painting and decorating, with a keen eye for detail. - Familiar with commercial kitchen equipment, including ovens, refrigeration, and gas systems. - Basic understanding of fire suppression systems and kitchen safety protocols. - Comfortable liaising with asset management providers to coordinate equipment servicing and repairs. - Organized and proactive, with good time management and communication skills. - A strong awareness of health & safety practices and safe working procedures. Job Description: As a Blinds and Curtain Fitter, you will be responsible for the professional installation of window dressings in residential and commercial properties. You’ll work closely with our design and sales teams to ensure all fittings are carried out efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. Maintenance Electrician Job Role: On the road reactive maintenance position with company van and fuel card provided. (Tools are not provided, hand tools and power tools are a must) testing equipment will be provided if needed. Standard working hours are 08:00 - 17:00 (Punctuality is crucial, lateness will not be tolerated) You are expected to wear company uniform without fail and be smart, well groomed and tidy. You will be expected to complete all jobs in diary each day to a good standard and submit a report in relation to what was done and job notes in relation to what needs to be done to complete with a time estimate and a materials list. We generally work on a estimate basis. We give our clients estimates on how long we believe the job will take. Your job is to try to get as close to the estimate 'within reason'. All jobs are to be carried out with use of dust sheets and are to be left spotless upon completion. We do not rush! We take our time 'within reason' and provide the best quality service we can. Any holes we make we patch and fill. You will be given a company van and company uniform, this is to be looked after and kept clean. We take pride in our appearance and reward will be given for this. Our work is vast in small works of no-complication to full re-wires but we are looking to grow and grow with a skilled team of great engineers. We are also looking at the possibility of introducing other company benefits later down the line as we want the best engineers and we want to look after them along the way.
