Divine Care group Ltd is currently recruiting health care assistants & support workers in Basildon, Laindon, Billericay, Canvey, Benfleet, Wickford and Rayleigh areas. We are looking for caring and compassionate people to join our dedicated team in delivering care for our clients in their own homes, Care homes and Residential homes. Our planned visits usually takes place in the morning, afternoon or evening / night shifts. Duties for this role includes: Assisting clients with personal hygiene Assistance with feeding Medication administration Support with transfers and Mobility Domestic tasks such as cleaning & laundry Shopping Having a valid UK Driver license will be an advantage. If you have no experience but you are willing to undergo training, we can get you started with our in-house training team
Role Purpose A General Nurse provides comprehensive patient care and supports both the physical and psychological well-being of patients and their families. Responsibilities include administering medication, performing medical procedures, monitoring patient progress, and ensuring adherence to healthcare standards and regulations. Key responsibilities Duties and specific responsibilities 1. Patient Care and Support: o Motivate patients to help restore and improve their health and self-esteem. o Provide medication and pre- and post-operation care. o Offer psychological and physical support to patients, their families, and friends. o Identify patient care requirements and evaluate patients with specific ailments. o Provide emotional support to patients and relatives. 2. Clinical Duties: o Obtain blood samples and conduct electrocardiograms (ECGs). o Manage minor and complex wounds, including leg ulcers. o Provide travel health advice and vaccinations, including child immunizations. o Offer family planning and women’s health services, including cervical smears. o Conduct men’s health screening and provide sexual health services. o Facilitate smoking cessation programs and help patients manage long-term conditions. 3. Patient Assessment and Monitoring: o Assess patients and build their trust. o Plan and deliver patient care while monitoring progress. o Take and record samples, pulses, temperatures, and blood pressures. o Monitor and administer medication and injections. o Perform routine investigations and care procedures such as intravenous infusions. 4. Administrative and Supervisory Duties: o Write, update, and maintain accurate patient care plans and records. o Supervise junior staff, organize workloads, and hand over information at the end of shifts. o Tutor student nurses and assist doctors with physical examinations and care plans. 5. Collaborative Care: o Work with doctors and other healthcare professionals to decide on patient care. o Ensure quality care through adherence to therapeutic standards, infection control policies, and medicine storage regulations. o Authenticate vaccination records and handle sensitive and confidential information. 6. Health Education and Support: o Advise patients and relatives on health-related issues and provide reassurance. o Promote good health practices and provide information on managing health conditions. o Provide travel health advice, vaccinations, and child immunizations.
