VRQ Level 3 Beauty Therapy Teacher Salon Hijab Academy has been running for almost 10 years, offering short and intense hair and beauty courses to adult learners. We offer NVQ Level 2 and 3 in both hair and beauty. As a result of growing popularity, we are looking for a Level 3 Beauty teacher to join our team as we continue to expand the academy. As a VTCT Approved Centre, we are looking for a hardworking individual who is available to work Monday and Thursday from 9.30 am to 3 pm term time. You are required to hold 3 + years of teaching experience within the beauty industry and be current. Each cohort runs for 20 weeks with a class of 10 learners. You must be able to co-ordinate a course independently and be responsible for all aspects of the course to include theory, practical work - scheme of work, lesson planning and be familiar with the online platform Google Classroom. The ideal candidate should be able to take initiative, be professional and organised, as well as have excellent knowledge of the UK English and Maths curriculum, specifically the 11 Plus exams. We are looking for someone to teach a small group of students and help them prepare for the 11 Plus exams, so you must be able to manage the decorum of the classroom, as well as monitor their progress and engage the students. 11 Plus exam knowledge is essential.

Previous experience working with children in an early years setting is preferred. Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and its implementation. Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently. Passionate about early childhood education and child development. First Aid and Safeguarding training certificates are desirable. Flexibility to work various shifts, including mornings, afternoons, and occasional evenings.
