An exciting opportunity has arisen for a new Deli Assistant to join our team! We pride ourselves in the quality and range of food that we deliver to our local community. We are open seven days a week from breakfast time until afternoon. We need our new supervisor to display exceptional skills in running the day to day operations and also to be consumer focused. We have a great team here who need the expertise of a strong leader so that they too can develop. Responsibilities: · Ensure food is prepared and presented in accordance with company standards · Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage and rotation of food items · Assist customers with their orders, providing excellent customer service · Operate deli equipment, such as slicers and grills, in a safe and efficient manner · Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure the health and safety of customers and staff · Manage inventory levels and place orders for deli supplies as needed Ensure that the team has all the knowledge and skills required to deliver a great food and service experience to our customers while behaving in a way that aligns with our culture. Requirements: · Previous experience in a similar role, such as cooking, working in a kitchen or barista · Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously · Strong teamwork and communication skills to effectively collaborate with other team members · Experience in supervising or managing a team · Passion for hospitality and providing exceptional service to customers Salary: £12.50 per hour + cash and card tips
About us Maison Gigi is a French family bakery that serves pâtisserie, artisan coffee, breakfast and lunch. Freshly baked every day in-house. Maison Gigi brings tarts and regional sweet and savoury specialities from France. It's an open-kitchen concept and this family-run business. Part of Maison Gigi's operations include in-office catering and the transport of food from the production site to the offices. Responsibilities: - Mixed role (FOH/BOH) - Assisting with basic food preparation - Cleaning and sanitising all equipment, tableware and utensils - Setting up buffet & food areas in a safe and orderly manner - Maintain a clean and safe work environment. - Perform inventory checks. - Follow Food Safety and Health & Safety protocols. - Being fully knowledgeable about allergens and their handling. - Transporting food from the kitchen to the office in a safe and responsible manner. As part of the team, you will undertake various activities and represent Maison Gigi in the offices being catered, a well-spoken English as well as knowledge of the products and allergens is essential. The required skills for this position are: - Good standard of personal hygiene - Ability to work under pressure - Ability to respect deadlines - Team player - Good customer skills - Commitment to attendance at work - Commitment to working in a Food Safe, Allergen Safe, Health & - Safety focused environment The regular working hours for this position are Monday to Friday 6am to 3:30pm or equivalent, changes to the schedule can be made depending on events & holiday calendar.

All the float must be placed in the cash till. · Positive working relationships are established and maintained with colleagues throughout the Hotel · Customer feedback, both positive and negative are responded to appropriately and efficiently · Information on customer service problems is gathered in order to improve the service offered · A positive personal image is maintained at all times · The needs of the customer are kept in balance with the needs of the organisation · All guests are received and offered assistance in a positive manner at all times · To answer all telephone calls in a polite and professional manner · Table bookings are handled according to departmental procedures · Back and front of house service areas and equipment are prepared, maintained and cleared · Bars, dining rooms and function rooms are prepared, maintained and cleared · Assistance is given in the maintenance of food displays · Glassware, crockery and cutlery are cleaned and stored in accordance with Hotel procedures · Cleaning is undertaken within the food and beverage areas as required · Dining areas are prepared according to the requirements of business · Food is served promptly, accurately and according to the standards of the department · Drink orders are taken and served following departmental procedures · Wine orders are prepared, taken and served accordingly · Customer satisfaction is monitored throughout the meal and any remedial actions taken as required · All customer feedback, positive and negative is reported to the Team Manager or Supervisor · Food and drink requisitions from kitchen and bars are dispensed according to Hotel procedures · To adhere to all Health and Safety Requirements as required by Hotel · To adhere to the Food Hygiene Regulations and Licensing Laws · To adhere to the requirements of the Data Protection Act at all times
