We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Chief Engineer to oversee all maintenance operations within our hotel property. The successful candidate will ensure the safety, functionality, and high standards of the building, guest rooms, and facilities while leading a small maintenance team and coordinating with external contractors. THE WORK IN YOUR HANDS Manage day-to-day maintenance operations across the hotel property Ensure all building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire safety, lifts, and mechanical systems) are maintained and fully operational Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities Plan and manage preventative maintenance schedules Respond promptly to maintenance issues and emergency repairs Supervise, train, and motivate maintenance staff Manage maintenance budgets, stock control, and ordering of supplies Liaise with external contractors and service providers Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and hotel brand standards Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports

The Role We’re looking for an in-house Maintenance Specialist to keep our growing number of managed offices running smoothly, whilst ensuring that new offices we’re opening are finished to the highest standards. You will be: • Kitt’s first line of service: running a first assessment of the situation: carry out repairs or recommending a specialist contractor on site, • Performing site inspections, identifying and reporting the need for major repairs, • When required, you’ll be present when contractors attend sites and ensure completion of the works are up to Kitt’s standards., • Performing maintenance and repairs including leaks, changing taps, general plumbing, tiling, minor electrical works, lock changes etc. As well as some decorating works: Painting, pictures frames etc., • Providing support to the wider operations team during tenants move-ins (whiteboards, fixing TVs on walls etc), • Performing light carpentry (e.g. building cabinets) About You • Proven experience within maintenance or construction., • Experience with hardware tools and electrical equipment., • Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing & HVAC systems. A Qualification in HVAC is desired but not essential for this position, • Basic maths skills., • As an expert problem solver, you can think outside the box to come up with solutions., • Good communication ability and confidence in front of clients. A Handyman is responsible for carrying out a wide range of property maintenance and repair tasks across residential and commercial properties. Duties include basic plumbing, electrical repairs, carpentry, decorating, assembling fixtures and fittings, repairing doors and locks, replacing taps and sanitaryware, patch plastering, and general building maintenance. The role requires problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to complete jobs safely, efficiently, and to a high standard while providing excellent customer service.

We are looking for serious people who take pride in clean, high-quality work and want steady projects with an organised company. We handle all client communication, quoting, and material logistics. You just turn up, do great work, and get paid your day rate reliably. We are interested in: • Skilled Floor Sanding Operator – £170–£220 per day For people who can sand, prepare, and finish wooden floors to a good standard. (Let us know if you require our machines/transport or have your own)., • Senior Floor Sanding Operator – £230–£300 per day For highly experienced operators who can run jobs independently, manage fine details, work cleanly, and represent the company well. (Note: The top end of this pay scale is reserved for operators who provide their own van and professional dustless sanding machines). Requirements: • Experience with wood floor sanding, restoration, repairs, staining, oiling, or lacquering is preferred., • You must be reliable, hardworking, clean, respectful in customers’ homes, and able to follow company standards., • Driving is a strong advantage, but not always essential for the right person with high-level skills., • Basic English is acceptable as long as your standard of work is excellent.
