We provide medical, routine, and advanced surgical treatments for dogs and cats, supported by a collaborative team and state-of-the-art facilities. About the Role We are seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) with proven leadership skills, excellent communication, and an empathetic approach to team management. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead, inspire, and develop a growing team of seven, while maintaining a strong clinical presence. You will work closely with the Practice Director, Practice Manager, and Veterinary Surgeons to ensure outstanding patient care and operational excellence. The role is approximately 70% clinical and 30% administrative. Hours: Full-time, with a friendly rota – just 1 in 4 Saturdays and absolutely no out-of-hours. Key Focus Areas: • Leadership & Mentoring: Guide, support, and inspire RVNs, Student Nurses, and Veterinary Care Assistants., • Training & Development: Run nursing clinics, deliver in-house CPD, and mentor student nurses., • Operational Support: Optimise workflows, maintain clinical standards, and support rota management., • Creating a positive, supportive work environment where all team members feel valued., • Holding regular one-to-one meetings and performance reviews., • Managing the nursing rota, holidays, and resource planning with the Practice Manager., • Overseeing recruitment and induction of new RVNs and VCAs (with admin support provided)., • Developing efficient patient journeys from admission to discharge., • Maintaining nursing protocols to ensure best practice in patient care and clinic efficiency.
