Your role is simply to share practical, honest advice based on your own professional experience. You won't be expected to teach classes or prepare structured courses. It's about having conversations, answering questions, and helping people better understand the career path they're considering. What can you share as a mentor? For example, you could talk about: • What a typical day in your profession looks like., • Which qualifications and skills truly matter., • How you entered your industry., • What employers usually look for in candidates., • Your experience working at particular companies., • Career progression opportunities., • Challenges someone should know before entering the profession., • What you would do differently if you were starting again., • How you successfully changed careers or specialised.
