The Role We are seeking a capable and motivated Drone Pilot (UAV Operator) to support our expanding operations. This is a hands-on role involving flight operations, mission planning, data capture, and client-facing project delivery across a wide range of environments. You’ll be working both independently and as part of a wider operations team, delivering safe, compliant, and high-quality UAV services. Key Responsibilities • Plan and execute UAV flight operations safely and efficiently in line with CAA regulations and company procedures, • Conduct pre-flight checks, risk assessments, and equipment inspections to ensure operational readiness, • Operate UAVs to capture high-quality imagery, video, and survey data for inspection, mapping, and reporting purposes, • Collect and manage aerial data, ensuring accuracy and quality for client deliverables, • Maintain flight logs, technical records, and documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements, • Ensure full compliance with Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) rules, operational authorisations, and site safety standards, • Support a variety of projects including infrastructure inspections, construction surveys, and commercial media work, • Liaise with clients, site teams, and internal stakeholders to deliver projects on time and to specificationRequired Skills & Experience, • Proven experience operating commercial UAVs (professional or semi-professional), • Strong flight planning and situational awareness, • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety practices, • Good technical understanding of UAV systems, sensors, and data capture workflows, • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in varied environments, • Strong communication skills for client and team interactionQualifications, • Valid CAA-recognised certification (e.g. GVC or equivalent) desirable for commercial operations, • Operational Authorisation (or willingness to obtain), • Minimum recorded flight hours (typically 40+ hours expected by employers), • Full UK driving licenceWhat We Offer, • Competitive salary and structured progression, • Opportunity to work on high-profile commercial and technical UAV projects, • Ongoing training and certification support, • Exposure to advanced sensors (e.g. thermal, LiDAR, photogrammetry), • Field-based role with varied and engaging work across the South East
