Sushi Chef (Freelance / Development Stage → Ongoing Work) PUSHI is a new, premium food concept launching in the UK, specialising in push-pop sushi — a modern, fusion take on sushi designed for events, pop-ups and private catering. I am currently at the development and testing stage of the business and am looking to connect with an experienced Sushi Chef to collaborate on creating a small tasting menu (4 signature push-pop sushi flavours) to finalise recipes, flavour profiles and presentation. This initial phase is a paid tasting / development session, with the intention of progressing into ongoing freelance, event-based and pop-up work once the brand officially launches and orders begin. This role would suit a chef who enjoys creative development, modern fusion flavours, and flexible freelance work rather than a traditional restaurant setting. What the role involves? Requirements A minimum of 3 years previous experience as a Chef de Partie or strong experience as a Demi CDP. Strong knowledge of kitchen sections (grill, larder, sauce, garnish, pastry, etc.). Excellent understanding of food safety and kitchen hygiene standards (Level 2 Food Safety minimum). Ability to perform well under pressure and maintain composure during busy service. Positive attitude, team-focused mindset, and willingness to learn and grow. Basic qualifications A minimum experience of 3 years in a similar role within the food industry, particularly in fine dining or catering environments. You will support the head chef with daily food preparation, cooking, plating and keeping the kitchen organised during busy service. We are looking for an experienced cook / deli chef for a neighbourhood cafe. Shifts are a mixture with two the same or mixed weekdays off per week and working times are 6.30am - 5.30pm Fridays & weekends are 9.30am - 6pm, please note every other weekend you will finish at 6.30pm on a Sunday due to kitchen deep cleaning.
