The Role You will play a key role in keeping our machinery running efficiently, reducing downtime and ensuring safe production operations. This is a hands-on engineering role, working closely with production teams to maintain and improve industrial machinery across the site. Key Responsibilities Routine Maintenance • Carry out inspections and preventative maintenance on manufacturing machinery and equipment, • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults in manufacturing machinery, • Assist with installation and commissioning of new machinery, • Follow all safety procedures and site regulations, • Work closely with production teams to prioritise repairs, • Respond quickly to breakdowns to minimise production loss, • Proven experience in maintenance engineering within steel or similar manufacturing, • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems., • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and maintenance software., • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints., • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills, • Proficiency using diagnostic tools and maintenance software, • Able to work independently and manage workload effectively, • Strong communication and teamwork skills, • Full UK driving licence – essential, • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, • Standing for extended periods, climbing and lifting equipment, • Monday to Friday working pattern, • Bank holidays off, • Additional time off over the Christmas period, • Competitive salary (£40k–£43k depending on experience)
